My favourite childhood books
I have so many memories from childhood, and many of them I had my nose stuck in a book.
The 'Mr Men' books were a firm bedtime favourite.
As I am quickly moving towards parenthood, I've done a lot of thinking about how I'd like baby-girl to be brought up; and I don't want her raised by the TV! I'd much rather she learns to play outside and explore and read books than to demand her favourite TV shows 24 hours a day.
So, in honor of world book day, here is a short list of some of the books I remember reading as a child, and that I'd like to share with her one day.
1. Each Peach Pear Plum; Jane & Allan Ahlberg
2. The Very Hungry Caterpillar; Eric Carle
3. The Mr Men & Little Miss books; Roger Hargreaves
4. Meg & Mog; Helen Nicoll & Jan Pienkowski
5. We're going on a Bear Hunt; Michael Rosen & Helen Oxenbury
Thanks for reading this small post; what were some of your favourite books growing up?
