Liebster Award

By 3/18/2015

This morning I logged into twitter (as I seem to do at my first waking moment every morning now) and saw that I'd been given a 'Liebster Award' nomination from the lovely Kelly over on A Toddler and a Broken Foot! I'd never heard of this award, but after some reading I decided it is a great way for new bloggers like myself to integrate themselves into a community and gain more readership! Mostly I was just pleasantly shocked that someone actually made an effort to read and remember my blog!

So here are the questions as asked by Kelly for me to answer:

Dear Mum; Mothers Day

By 3/16/2015
 Dear Mum,
I'm writing this for you this mothers day; my last one before I am a mother myself. There are so many things I wish I could find the words to say now that I'm experiencing the whole parenting thing myself; and the simplest way I could find to say it is 'thank you'.

You've done so much for me over the past 22 years.

30 Week Pregnancy Update

By 3/13/2015

Oh god. 30 Weeks pregnant. The countdown has officially begun!

That's not to say the countdown hasn't already been going on for a mind numbing 7 months already, it just means that after today I will be 9 weeks 6 days left- single digit weeks baby!

It really is crazy to think that in like 6-7 weeks little sprout will be classed as full term and honestly could come any time over the next ten weeks and survive the big bad outside world...

This past few weeks hasn't been short of issues though, and it's safe to say I'm very quickly becoming tired of pregnancy. On top of being told I have SPD (pelvis problems and pains!) I have been classed as quite anemic, and potentially diabetic!

My favourite childhood books

By 3/05/2015

I have so many memories from childhood, and many of them I had my nose stuck in a book.

The 'Mr Men' books were a firm bedtime favourite.

As I am quickly moving towards parenthood, I've done a lot of thinking about how I'd like baby-girl to be brought up; and I don't want her raised by the TV! I'd much rather she learns to play outside and explore and read books than to demand her favourite TV shows 24 hours a day.

So, in honor of world book day, here is a short list of some of the books I remember reading as a child, and that I'd like to share with her one day.

Finally Feeling Prepared!

By 3/03/2015

Morning all!

This post is a little overdue, and even as I write this now my arms ache- I had my whooping cough job and a few blood tests and made the fools error of opting to have them in the same arm. You may think that this means I'd have my right arm free- this is true, however it does mean my left arm is numb and heavy and typing with one hand really is not simple!

So this weekend, as I do every weekend, I dragged Jack to Mothercare.
"You must know everything in this shop by now!" He declared as we skipped- or waddled- through the doors for the millionth time this pregnancy. A true fact yes, I do know everything in the store, but if you read my previous post 'Nesting- Too crazy too soon?' you'll know I have an obsessive compulsive need to prepare and organize and look at tiny baby things and cute pink things...
